It needs a training session
New staff learn the app from a colleague over a week, with the shortcuts written on a sticky note. None of that knowledge came from the screen itself.
Melbourne SaaS studio, building since the 1990s
distract. designs and builds SaaS to one standard. Someone half reading, on a phone, between meetings, has to find the next step. Thirty years writing software. Fifty-plus projects shipped.
Most projects start within 1 to 2 weeks of the first call. 1300 178 130.
01 · Attention
Nobody opens your product at a clear desk with a free afternoon. They are on a train, late for something, holding a phone with one hand. Software that demands study does not get a second look.

02
Nobody says they are lost. They open the app less each month, then stop. The usage report shows it later. The screen that lost them is still there.
03
Every release adds something somebody asked for. The build slows, the menus fill, and the next change costs more than the last.
02 · What we build instead
The fix is not more design or more process. It is less software, in front of real people, doing its job.
If a feature does not serve the job, it does not ship. The screen stays short and the roadmap stays honest.
We design for the half-reading user. Labels say what the button does. The next step is never a puzzle.
Working software in real hands teaches more than another review cycle. Ship, watch, correct.
Obvious is not the opposite of sophisticated. It is the point.
03 · What we do
Every engagement starts with a phone call and ends with software doing its job.
From first sketch to running software, start to finish.
The one nobody wants to use, or the one nobody dares touch.
Data moving reliably between systems that never met.
Big-company constraints, small-team clarity.
Deciding what not to build, on purpose.
Care for software already out in the world.

Ring and describe the work. The software, the people using it, the deadline. We will say plainly whether it is for us.
