The work comes in two parts, and I do both.
I work through the system with AI, trying the ways in an outsider would try. The report says where I managed to get through, what it would expose, and what to do about it, in language a developer can act on. What counts as a real finding stays my call.
I close the holes I found and check that the fixes hold. Where a fix needs code, I write it. You end up with a system harder to get into than the one I started with, and a plain account of what changed and why.
